City Council Candidate Greg Roger’s carried his message of fiscal conservatism and tax cutting to the citizens of Tega Cay Wednesday night at the Glennon Center. The candidates for city council shared in a discussion with over two hundred residents Wednesday night. After nine questions it was clear that Roger’s represented the most clear choice to represent the voice of conservatism in Tega Cay. “I wanted to make sure even my opponents supporters understand that on day one I intend to represent them and everyone with the highest respect. I understand that every dollar that flows through the budget was earned by the sweat of our citizens brow. Having this in mind should guide all elected officials in decision making”, says Rogers. As the other candidates flip flopped on issues of spending and tax raising, Roger’s was the only candidate who stayed firm on his believe of fiscal conservatism. “We have got to stop talking about what we need to buy to improve our city, and start realizing what we need to save to secure our future, the taxpayers money.”
